The studio

Two chairs became six.

Kestrel & Crow opened in a two-chair room above a bike shop on Boundary Street, West End, in 2016. The idea hasn’t changed much since.

Around the studio

A Thursday at Kestrel & Crow.

What a chair here actually looks like.

Wide view of an open unisex hair studio with pale grey walls and rust accents
The studio — open floor, big windows, six chairs.
Close view of a stylist sectioning hair with foil during a colour service
Colour — foils and careful sectioning, patch test always first.
A stylist's hands cutting hair with scissors and a comb
The cut — scissor work, steady hand.
A stylist blow-drying and finishing a client's hair with a round brush
Finish — the bit you can repeat at home.
Unlabelled bottles lined up on a hair studio counter
The counter — a short shelf, no upsell.
