Verity Lowe trained under a session stylist in West End and spent nine years on editorial call sheets before opening the atelier. Every booking gets her full attention — never a second bride waiting in the next chair.
What we do
Three occasions, done completely
01
Bridal
Consultation, a full trial, and the morning itself — at the atelier or on location within 50km of the city. A second stylist joins from four people up.
02
Occasion & guest
Black tie, christenings, race days and the mother of the bride. A single sitting, ninety minutes, booked to the hour.
03
Editorial & press
Call-outs for photographers, stylists and press. Day and half-day rates, and a kit that travels.
The atelier
Small enough to give every bride the full appointment
Two chairs, one bride in the room at a time, and a trial that runs as a full rehearsal rather than a sketch.
2
Chairs in the atelier
1
Bride in the room at a time, by policy
90 min
An occasion sitting, booked to the hour
2012
Year the atelier opened
From brides and guests
Written after the appointment
“The trial was the whole appointment, not a rushed once-over. I left knowing exactly what my hair would do on the day, because I had already worn it for six hours.”
Isla T. — PADDINGTON
Bridal, the trial
“I booked a single sitting for a race day and was in and out inside ninety minutes, exactly as booked. No rush, no chasing the clock myself.”
Nina H. — NEW FARM
Occasion sitting
“The kit travelled with her and the whole session ran to the timing sheet without a single delay. Nothing about it felt makeshift.”
Freya B. — ASCOT
Editorial call-out
Ask about your date before the season fills.
The atelier takes a limited number of weddings each season. If your date is already booked, we will say so the same day and point you toward someone good.
