About

Eighteen years reading charts, and still sceptical in the useful ways.

I take the craft seriously, which includes being honest about what it can and cannot do.

Who I am

I came to this from comparative religion, not from a magazine column.

Astrology is a symbolic tradition several thousand years old with a genuine intellectual history, and most of my training was in reading it well — carefully, and against the chart rather than a script.

I hold no view about mechanism and do not need you to either. What I can say is that the symbolic language is unusually good at surfacing what you already half-know, from a reading room in West End, in person or online.

How I practise

Four commitments, and the first two are why some people go elsewhere.

01

No predictions

I will not tell you what will happen, when you will marry, or how long anyone has. That is not what a chart is for.

02

Not advice

Readings are for insight and reflection. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

03

Technique, shown

I will tell you which placement I am reading and why. Nothing is asserted from authority you cannot check.

04

You keep everything

The chart, the recording and my notes are yours. Nothing is held back to require a follow-up booking.

The reading

What a reading is like.

Preparation first

Two or three hours — Spent with your chart before we speak. You are not watching me read it cold.

A conversation

Not a monologue — The useful part is usually you saying “that is oddly accurate, except” and us following it.

A recording

Sent within a day — Most people find the second listen more useful than the live conversation.

Written notes

Yours to keep — The chart itself and a summary of the placements we discussed, so you can go further on your own.

See what I offer.

Bring a birth time and a question you have not resolved. Those two things make for a far better reading than either one on its own.
