Three doors into the same habit.
All run in person, in the Paddington studio, built from short exercises and a starter palette. Prices below are the full term fee including GST — nothing added at the door.

A starter palette, mapped for you.
Every course works from the same short list — one round of pans, two brushes, one pad of paper. Where materials are supplied, they are yours to keep.
Nobody is asked to buy anything on the first night. The full supply list, with where to get it locally, goes out when you book.
The questions students ask first
Everything here has come up more than once at the studio door.
Do I need any experience?
No. Foundations and the Habit assume nothing. Landscapes moves faster and suits anyone who has done a term of Foundations, in this studio or elsewhere.
Is this an accredited qualification?
No — these are leisure courses, not a certificate or a recognised qualification. They exist to build a painting habit, nothing more official than that.
What if I miss a class?
Tell Mara beforehand and the week’s exercise sheet is held for you to catch up at home.
Are materials really included?
Stated plainly on each course above — Foundations and Landscapes supply materials, the Habit is bring-your-own with a starter list provided.
Is there parking?
Street parking around the studio, and the Paddington bus routes stop close by.
Can I pay in instalments?
Ask when you enquire — it is usually possible to split the term fee into two.
Not sure which door?
Write and tell Mara what you want to paint — she will answer honestly, even if the answer is “not this course”.
