Every product we use is on a published list — on the wall by the door, on this site, and printed for you at consultation. You can read it before you book, not just after.
An ammonia-free permanent base with a monoethanolamine alkaliser, plus the specific pigment mixed for your formula.

Where the list lives
On the wall by the door, on the site, and printed for you at consultation. Updated whenever a product changes.
03
What replaces PPD
Nothing we mix contains PPD. Most PPD-free colour uses a related dye (PTD) instead, and some people react to that too, so it needs the same patch test.
04
The patch test, every time
Forty-eight hours ahead, five minutes, free. We will not waive it, whichever system your colour uses.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST COLOUR
Why the patch test is never optional
PPD-free colour can still cause a reaction. That is why every first colour, and every returning client, is patch tested — without exception.
A reaction can develop even if you have been coloured here before without one
The dye that replaces PPD can cause a reaction of its own, so it needs testing too
Skin sensitivity changes with medication, pregnancy and time
A patch test from another salon does not carry across to us
A patch test takes five minutes and is free — there is no reason to skip it
We will not colour without one, even if you are in a hurry
