Cuts · Beards · Hot Towel Shaves

A haircut should last six weeks, not six days.

Fenwick & Sons has been cutting hair on this corner of Paddington since 1954. Four chairs, no music you have to shout over, and the price list is on the wall — same as it always was.

Why the shop hasn’t changed much

You’ll get the haircut you asked for.

Every barber here has done at least four years on the floor. We’ll ask you what you want, tell you honestly if it needs adjusting, and show you how to keep it looking right at home.

No colour, no perms, no packages. If you want those, we know two good places nearby and we’ll point you there.

What we do

Three things, done properly.

No colour, no perms, no packages — just cuts, beards and the odd hot towel shave, done right.

Cut and finish

Scissor or clipper, washed and finished. Half an hour, and we’ll show you how to get it looking the same on day thirty as it did on day one.

Beard work

Shaped, lined and trimmed to something you can maintain. Booked with a cut or on its own.

Hot towel shave

Cut-throat, two hot towels, proper balm. Forty minutes, and the closest shave you’ll get anywhere.

The shop in numbers

Slow to change, on purpose.

The only thing we’ve added this decade is a card machine.

The regulars

Some of them since the old shop.

“I asked for something different and was told, politely, that my hair would not do it — and here is what would. He was right. Nobody had ever just said that to me before.”

Ryan A.
PADDINGTON

“Took my lad for his first cut. They had a booster board, a certificate and a lot of patience. He now asks to come.”

Tariq S.
RED HILL

“The shave is worth booking for its own sake. Forty minutes, hot towels, and you leave feeling like you’ve had a small holiday.”

Frank O.
BARDON

Walk in and take your chances, or book and take your time.

Two chairs are held back for walk-ins all day, every day — book ahead if you’d rather not wait.
