The shop

Same trade, same corner, third generation.

Fenwick & Sons opened two doors down on this stretch of Paddington in 1954. The chairs are the originals. Almost everything else has been replaced at least once.

Around the shop

A Thursday at Fenwick & Sons.

What a chair here actually looks like.

Wide view of the barbershop interior with exposed brick and leather chairs
The shop — exposed brick, leather chairs, the pendant lights.
Close view of a straight razor mid-stroke during a beard line-up
The line-up — straight razor, steady hand.
A barber's hands shaping a beard with scissors and a comb
Beard work — scissors and a comb, not just clippers.
A hot towel resting over a client's lower face before a shave
Hot towel — the shave that’s worth booking on its own.
Unlabelled product bottles lined up on a barbershop counter
The counter — four products, no upsell.
