Ironbark is a small independent brewery in Salisbury, the taproom bolted straight onto the brewhouse. Five core beers, always on, poured by whoever brewed them. We serve responsibly — over-18s only at the bar.
Most beer spends weeks in a truck before anyone tastes it. Ours goes from the conditioning tank to the glass in the next room, or into a cold store two steps from the fermenter. Small batches mean nothing sits around long enough to go stale — check the date and you’ll see what we mean.
Three ways in
However you take it, it starts at the Yard
Three ways in, whichever you like your beer served.
01
The taproom
Eight taps, Thursday to Sunday — the five regulars plus a monthly small batch and a guest or two we rate.
02
The tours
Saturdays at 2pm — an hour in the brewhouse with whoever brewed that week, finishing with a tasting flight.
03
Takeaway
Filled in small runs, dated on the bottom, sold cold from the store — take the taproom home with you.
Around the yard
Tanks, hops, and the long table
What the shed actually looks like when the kettle’s on.
Behind glass
The brewhouse
Twelve hectolitres at a time — small enough that a batch is gone in weeks, so nothing sits.
Grown down south
The hops
Handled fresh each brew day. The spent grain goes to a farm ten minutes from here.
Thursday to Sunday
The long table
Where the regulars sit, glasses down, over-eighteens only, always with something in front of them besides beer.

What the regulars say
Sample notes, left at the bar
“The porter alone is worth the trip, but it’s the place — you’re drinking next to the tank it came out of.”
Dana W.
NORTHGATE
“Did the Saturday tour for a birthday. The brewer talked us through the mash like family, then poured like it too.”
Omar H.
SALISBURY
“I check the small-batch board before I check anything else. Every month there’s a reason to come back.”
