About

We left a practice where the target was billable hours.

Fixed fees, real deadlines, and the phone answered. Three things that sound basic and are the whole reason clients move to us from somewhere larger.

Why Ledger Row exists

Hourly billing quietly teaches clients not to ask questions.

And the questions are the valuable part. After enough years of watching that happen, two of us left to build a firm that charges the same way whether you ring twice a year or twice a week — working with about a hundred and forty local businesses, with a cap on how many clients each accountant carries.

What we commit to

Four things you can hold us to.

A fixed monthly fee

Agreed once a year in advance. It does not change mid-year because a job took longer than we expected.

Questions are included

Ring, email, drop in. There is no charge for asking and no clock running while you think out loud.

Deadlines chased, not just noted

You will get reminders well before a filing date and a phone call if we have not heard back. Late-lodgment penalties are avoidable, and we treat them that way.

Plain English, always

If an explanation needs jargon, we have not finished explaining. Ask us to go again and we will.

Getting started

Three steps, usually inside a fortnight.

1

A free conversation

About the business, what you have been paying and what has been frustrating you about it.

2

A fixed monthly quote

Covering everything you need for the year. If your current accountant is better value, we will tell you that instead.

3

The handover

We chase your previous accountant for records and set up the software. You do not have to do the chasing yourself.

The people

You get one named accountant and you keep them.
