Tailor-made trips · Planned by people who went

We charge a fee so nobody is steering you.

Trips built around what you actually want, by four planners who have spent years in the places they plan. The fee is the only thing you pay us — everything else is passed through at cost, with the supplier’s own figure shown.

Why a fee

A free travel agent is being paid by somebody, just not by you.

Commission quietly shapes recommendations, because some hotels pay considerably more than others for the referral. We decline it. Every price we show is the net rate, with our fee stated separately and agreed before we start.

What we do

Three ways to travel with us

Everything is built from scratch. We do not run departures or off-the-shelf packages.

01

Full trip planning

Route, accommodation, transfers and the sequencing that stops a three-week trip becoming a string of one-night stays.

02

A planning session

Two hours with a planner who knows the region, and a written itinerary you can book entirely yourself.

03

Small group trips

A handful of departures a year, ten people at most, led by one of us in person.

Where we plan

Places at least one of us has spent months, not days

A small taste of where the itineraries actually go.

A rugged Tasmanian coastline at golden hour

Tasmania

Coastlines, forests, and the shoulder-season light that the brochures never show.

A narrow Japanese lane glistening after rain
Spring and autumn

Japan

Rail passes and a handful of bases beat a long list of one-night stops, every time.

Any month

On the trail

Pacing is the whole craft — three nights somewhere is usually the minimum for it to be worth the stop.

From travellers

After they got home

Sample notes, shared with permission

“They talked us out of the month we had chosen and moved the whole trip three weeks later for the weather. It cost them nothing to say, and it made the holiday.”

Gwen T.
BULIMBA

“Every hotel came with a note about why it had been chosen and what was wrong with it. One said thin walls, but the location is worth it. It was, and it was.”

Sam O.
NEW FARM

“Our flight was cancelled the night before and somebody answered the emergency number at half past eleven. Everything downstream was rebooked before we landed.”
