The studio

A quiet room in a loud week.

Two practice rooms, a tea corner, and a timetable built around real lives — early flows before work, slow evenings after it.

The story

It started with six mats and a borrowed room.

The first classes ran in a community hall with a radiator that clanked through every savasana. What kept people coming back wasn’t the space — it was the feeling of being expected somewhere, once a week, by name.

Seven years on we have two rooms of our own and an online circle, and the measure hasn’t changed: does the hour leave you steadier than it found you?

First visit

Your first class, without the guesswork.

1

Book a mat
Every class caps at fourteen, so booking holds your spot. First in-studio class is half price; Sunday’s community class is donation-based.

2

Arrive ten minutes early
Mats, props and tea are all here. Tell the teacher about anything that aches — that’s what the ten minutes are for.

3

Practise at your own edge
Every pose comes with an easier and a harder door. Nobody adjusts you without asking first.

How we teach

Four things you can hold us to.

Not studio poetry — the working rules behind every class on the timetable.

◆

Unhurried

No performance pace. The slowest person in the room sets nothing; their own breath does.

◇

Welcoming

Every body, every age, every level — and a donation class every week so price is never the door.

◈

Practical

You come with a desk back and a busy head. Classes are built for those, not for photographs.

❖

Honest

Teachers who say ‘I don’t know’, anatomy over mysticism, and no supplements at the front desk.
