Common questions

How long does a fixed-price quote take?

A site survey first, then a written, itemised quote within a week.

What counts as a change?

Anything not in the original drawings — an extra power point is nothing, a moved wall is a variation, priced before we do it.

Do you handle council approval?

Yes, for anything that needs it — building approval, and engineering certification for a raise or a structural wall.

Can we stay living in the house?

For most renovations, yes, phased room by room. For a raise, usually — it’s one loud day, not the whole job.

What's covered by the home warranty?

Residential building work over $3,300 carries QBCC’s statutory Home Warranty Insurance automatically — it’s not something we sell you, and it sits alongside our own 10-year structural guarantee.

Are you QBCC licensed?

Yes. Our licence number is on every quote, contract and invoice.

How often do we hear from you?

Every Friday, by email — photos, progress against the schedule, and what’s happening the following week.

What happens if something's missed at handover?

It goes on the snag list and is cleared within a fortnight — the 10-year guarantee covers you well beyond that.
