Raise & build under

A proper level where the car used to fit

Lifting a Queenslander onto new stumps and building underneath — laundry, rumpus, a bedroom, or all three — to council and engineering approval.

How a raise happens

Engineering & approval

Structural drawings and council approval before a stump moves, so the raise is certified, not guessed at.

The raise itself

The house comes up on hydraulic jacks in a single coordinated day, new steel or hardwood stumps set underneath.

The build underneath

Framing, plumbing, electrical and stairs, turning the understorey into rooms rather than storage.

Services & connections

Power, water and drainage rerun to the new level, inspected and signed off before the plaster goes up.

Good to know

Timescale

Most raises run six to ten weeks from approval to a lockable shell, depending on what goes in underneath.

The home warranty

Residential work over $3,300 carries QBCC’s statutory Home Warranty Insurance, alongside our own 10-year structural guarantee.

Living upstairs

Most families stay in the house while the raise happens — it’s a loud day, not a loud job.
