Common questions

How quickly can you come out?

The same day for leaks, burst pipes and no hot water if you ring before 2pm. Everything else is usually within two or three working days.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

We charge a fixed visit fee that covers the first half hour on site, and we tell you what it is on the phone before we book. If you go ahead with the quoted work, it comes off the invoice.

Heat pump or gas?

With mains gas and a big household, continuous-flow gas is hard to beat. Otherwise a heat pump usually costs the least to run in Brisbane. Bring a recent power bill to the visit and we’ll give you the numbers for your house.

Why is my water bill so high?

Usually a leak you can’t see: a toilet that trickles into the pan, or a pipe under the slab. We read the meter with every tap off and trace it from there.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Our plumbers and gasfitters are licensed in Queensland, and our QBCC licence number is in the footer of every page and on every quote.

What does the 12-month guarantee cover?

Our workmanship on the job we did, in writing, for twelve months. It sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law and the manufacturer’s warranty on anything we install.

Do I need to be home?

For the first visit, yes. For longer jobs plenty of customers leave a key; we text before we arrive and again when we lock up.

Can you help after a storm?

Blocked stormwater, a downpipe that’s come away, water coming in under the door. Ring us, and ring your insurer. We photograph what we find, so your claim has what it needs.
