Services & fees

What we do, and what it costs.

Real published figures. Projects are quoted as a fixed price from these fees, not estimated against them.

Selected projects

Four houses, four budgets

Budgets given as ranges because clients are entitled to their privacy.

A finished Victorian terrace living room after a whole-house renovation

Victorian terrace, whole house — Paddington

Fourteen months, stripped to brick, rebuilt around how a family with two small children actually moves through the house.

A finished small apartment living space made to feel larger

Two-bedroom flat — Rosalie

Sixty square metres made to feel considerably larger with joinery, lighting and one wall removed.

A finished kitchen extension opening onto a garden

Cottage kitchen extension — Ashgrove

A single-storey extension and a kitchen that finally faces the garden. Six months, one very patient client.

A finished interior scheme in a new-build home

New build, interiors only — New Farm

Design-only scheme for a developer shell. Delivered as drawings and a shopping list the owners executed themselves.

How we price

Four rules

All four are in the contract and visible on every invoice.

A fixed design fee

Agreed from the drawings and the scope before we start. It does not move because the budget did.

Trade prices passed on

Every item at what we paid for it, shown next to the retail price. Our margin is the fee, and only the fee.

Your budget is the brief

We design to what you have said you will spend. Presenting a scheme you cannot afford wastes everybody’s time.

We will tell you what not to do

Sometimes the answer is paint and better lighting rather than a renovation. It is a smaller job and often the right one.

Fees

Three ways to engage us

All fees exclude GST. Trade discounts on everything specified are passed to you at cost and evidenced on the invoice.

One room, one day

$750

A full day at your house solving a single room, followed by a written scheme and shopping list within a week.

Design only

from $4,500

Full scheme, layouts, drawings and specification for you or your builder to execute. Priced by room count.

Design and management

from $12,000

Everything above plus running the project: trades, procurement, site visits and snagging through to handover.

Recent work

Six rooms from the last two years

Photographed after handover with the owners’ own things in place, not styled for a shoot.

Book a consultation. If we are not right for it, we will say so on the call.

An hour, at your house, on the actual room. No obligation, and no proposal unless you want one.
