WORTH KNOWING
Three things new owners ask about
Insure them now
Almost no policy covers a pre-existing condition, and “pre-existing” starts the moment something is noted in a file. A puppy insured at eight weeks is covered for things a two-year-old dog never will be.
Puppy school matters more than you think
The socialisation window closes at around sixteen weeks. We run a class on Wednesday evenings with no charge for our own patients.
Budget roughly $900 for year one
That is a dog at our prices, including vaccinations, desexing, microchip and parasite prevention. A cat is around $720. Better to know now than in month four.
