Ironbark Resources holds and operates three metallurgical coal tenements between Moranbah and Blackwater. We plan the mine, run the fleet, wash the product and manage our own rail and port allocation — the whole chain sits under one management team in Mackay.
That matters when you’re committing to a supply agreement, a joint venture, or a multi-year contract. Decisions about production, blending and scheduling are made by people you can get on the phone, not a head office in another hemisphere.

Warrigal Creek
Open-cut truck and shovel, 18 km north-west of Moranbah. Hard coking coal, 5.1 Mtpa ROM through an on-site CHPP.
Mundoo Range
Single longwall underground with two development units. PCI and semi-hard product, 4.3 Mtpa ROM, railed from Coppabella.
Cardowan South
Advanced exploration south of Blackwater. Definitive feasibility under way, with first coal targeted for the back half of the decade.
Pit to port, under one roof.
Mine planning & geology
In-house resource modelling, pit design and life-of-mine scheduling across all three tenements.
Open-cut mining
Owner-operated truck and shovel fleet, drill and blast, and an integrated overburden removal program.
Underground longwall
Longwall extraction with continuous miner development, full gas drainage and ventilation management.
Processing & blending
Two coal handling and preparation plants, with blending to customer specification before train load-out.
Rail & port logistics
Contracted capacity on the Goonyella and Blackwater systems with allocation through Dalrymple Bay.
Contract & supply management
Long-term offtake, spot tonnage and joint venture arrangements handled by our commercial team in Brisbane.

Our safety and health management system is built to the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and audited annually against ISO 45001. Site senior executives hold statutory accountability at each operation, and every contractor works to the same standard we hold ourselves to.
